Everyone gathering for the weekend

Randy had injured himself that week at work while logging,
but still was in good humor despite the pain...

Since Randy was slowed down by the leg injury somewhat,
other folks chipped in to help cook the meals.

What would a Dog Roast be without the dogs begging for attention, food, etc?

For those who wanted to have some athletic fun,
there was a little bit of horseshoes and a whole lot of volleyball!

There were no fireworks display this year, because of the extremely dry conditions of the grass and woods...
but, (and wouldn't you know it!) on the Saturday of the Dog Roast,
the rain did fall on and off during the day and night.

On Saturday evening, because of the rain, most of the group gathered up on the deck.
Robin brought the traditional bottle of Crown Royal to pass around to all of the adults,
and made the first toast to her brother,
Dave Dowler, who passed away earlier in the year.
