RoastEmpire™ respects intellectual property rights and expects our users to do the same. We operate under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will promptly respond to valid takedown notices.

What We Actually Do With Your Content

When you upload a pet photo to our service:

• Step 1: Local AI (Ollama) analyzes your image to detect cats/dogs and describe their features
• Step 2: If an animal is detected, OpenAI GPT-4.1 generates a humorous roast based on the description
• Step 3: We create a composite image with your photo + roast text + watermark (DOGROAST.COM)
• Step 4: Generated roast images are temporarily stored for sharing
• Step 5: Original uploaded photos are deleted immediately after processing

Types of Copyright Claims

What May Be Subject to DMCA Claims:

• Professional Pet Photography: If someone uploads a professional photo they didn't take
• Stock Photos: Images from Getty, Shutterstock, etc. used without license
• Social Media Photos: Photos taken by others and reposted without permission

• Generated roast images are accessible via shareable URLs (when users share them)
• Admin can locate files by checking roasted-images folders
• Timestamped filenames help identify when content was uploaded

Response Time & Process

We will review all valid DMCA notices within 72 hours and remove infringing content when appropriate. We understand that if your pet's photo appeared without permission, you may be concerned - we're here to help resolve this quickly and respectfully.

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

• Investigate the claim using our admin interface to locate the specific content
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material immediately
• Delete the file from our servers (roasted-images directories)
